Cholera improvements
We have been really busy in cholera the last 3 to 4 weeks, since it has started raining again. Paho and the health department visited us, and made some recommendations. Following is a few of the changes we made.
I installed a second tank for the water supply. This way we can treat all the water with chlorine. We use from one tank while the other fills, then treat it and use from it while the first one fills again.
We designated a chlorine solution mixing area. Each of these containers hold 30 gallons of solution. Solution A is 2% chlorine for treating vomit, diarrhea, and dead bodies. Solution B is 0.02% and is used for mopping, foot baths, disinfecting beds, and spraying walls, bathrooms, floors, etc. Solution C is a 0.05% chlorine solution. This is for spraying people entering and exiting the CTC and for hand washing.
