Widow's Funeral - left 3 orphans

Today, my family and I took a truckload of church people to Makilen's funeral. Makilen is from from Las Kawobas, an area north of here. It took about 2 1/2 hours to drive their. Makilen and her 3 children have lived in Fond Parisien for a number of years. She was a widow, her husband died years ago. She was a member of our church. Makilen was a poor woman, and on numerous occasions the mission paid her rent.

A couple weeks ago, Makilen got sick. She went to her sister's house in Las Kawobas (her home area). Her 2 sisters were helping her go for doctor check-ups. Then we received news that she died.

Please pray for the 3 orphaned children, Christian, Lionette, and Christianna (all teenagers). Please pray for Prosper and others that have been helping. The children are still all in school, and none of them have any livelihood. Their mother was the one that supported them.

Below are some scenery pictures of the beautiful countryside in Las Kawobas. It is a poor area, but they have fruit trees and gardens. The first picture is of us ready to head for home. There was 35 + people on back of the truck. Thank God for a good truck to get us over the mountain.
